Dear OCF-OCF Friends & Families,
After much thought and careful consideration, we have decided not to move forward with our September camp this year. While we had hoped to gather in September, enrollment numbers did not reach the level needed to support the camp experience we strive to provide. Although we are disappointed, we remain optimistic about the future and excited about the opportunities ahead for our camp community.
This decision was not made lightly, but it allows us to be financially responsible and ensure we can continue offering meaningful programs and experiences for families for years to come. We are incredibly grateful for the support, enthusiasm, and dedication our camp families have shown throughout the years. Your commitment to our mission is what makes this community so special.
As we look ahead, we are energized by the potential for growth and remain committed to reaching more families who could benefit from our programs. We believe many families in our community would find connection, support, and friendship through our organization, and we are excited to explore new ways to welcome them. If you have ideas, suggestions, or connections that could help us spread the word, we would love to hear from you. Your support and advocacy play an important role in helping our community grow.
We are also looking forward to offering smaller day events throughout the year. These gatherings will provide opportunities for families to connect, strengthen existing friendships, and introduce new families to our mission in a comfortable and welcoming setting. We are hopeful that these events will help build momentum and create even more opportunities for families to become involved.
We are excited to share that we plan to hold our Family Camp on June 4–6, 2027. We hope you will save the date, join us for a wonderful weekend together, and help spread the word to families interested in becoming part of our community. In the meantime, keep your eyes open for announcements about upcoming events and gatherings in the months ahead. We look forward to creating new opportunities to connect, welcoming new families, and continuing to build a strong and vibrant camp community together.
